Graduation Speech

I cant believe i'm about to graduate Middle school. It feels like I came to Golf Middle school a week ago. Every school year went by so fast. I had fun every year. In 5th grade we would have Friday fun day and every Friday we would go outside and play. In 6 grade we had a sale for candy and chips and raised enough money to a have a field trip to Medieval times. It was super fun and I will never forget it. In 7th grade we went to Camp McLean and Springfield. At Camp McLean we did activities and played capture the flag in the dark which was really fun.I also learned about many people I didn't know about in my cabin.When we went to Spring Field we took a coach bus their at 6 am in the morning and got their around 12 pm. When we got their we went to Abe Lincolns house and after that we went to McDonald's and ate. After that we went to a couple more monuments and then went home. On the way home we stopped at an arcade and played the games and ate pizza. So far this 8th grade year has been fun but really challenging. We go to Camp McLean again this year and I hope it will be better this time. I will miss Golf Middle school but am excited to go to Niles North. I want to thank all my teachers I have ever had for helping me succeed in school and hopefully do well in High school too. I want to especially thank Mrs. Nelson for teaching me many Greek and Latin Roots, Mr. Carris for teaching me about all the wars and history of the United States, Mr. Carro for teaching me so much of math such as Algebra and Geometry, Mrs. Conejo for teaching me so much Spanish which I know will help me in the future, Mrs. Joyner for teaching me how to write a research paper and reading us books like Outsiders and Daniels story, and lastly I want to thank Mrs. Chovjka for making me become a better person in school and outside of school and making me a more mature person. 

Testing

Here at GMS we have two weeks of parcc testing around the end of the year to challenge all of our skills we learned this year. We have three days of literature and three days of math. The math is definitely more challenging. We finished out literature test last Thursday and started our math testing yesterday. It was not so bad yesterday but today it was really hard and stressful. Usually the night before I usually sleep at around 11 or 12 because for some odd reason I wake up better when I go to bed later. When I wake up I drink water to get hydrated. During the test I chew gum and try my best to stay awake. 

Field trip

On Monday we went to the Illinois Holocaust Museum in Skokie for a field trip. During the filed trip I learned some new things I didn't know before and saw some monuments and things in the concentration camps. I saw a real train that the Jews were transported on and actually got to go inside of it. I saw the clothes the Jews wore and the bowls they ate out of. We also learned a lot about the 1936 Olympics and about Jesse Owens. After that we had a real life survivor of Lodz ghetto and Auschwitz concentration camp talk to us about how it was like. I was really fascinated by his story and was surprised that he survived all of the thing that he said happened to him and others. I really think that everybody who is learning about the Holocaust should come to the Holocaust Museum in Skokie because it will help you learn more and understand what was going on in that time such as in concentration camps and it ghettos.

Dear Diary,

Today was either going to be a good or bad day. I know that for a fact. We arrived in Lake Geneva about 30 minutes ago. First we met with our team at the hotel and unpacked our bags. We had breakfast then we changed into our uniforms and headed to our first game. When we got there I was nervous because the team looked really good. They looked tall and looked ready while my team was not serious at all and just taking shots and not warming up. Once the game started I was surprised because they weren't as good as I thought they would be. within 5 minutes in the game we scored our first goal and had the lead. After halftime the game stayed the same. Not a a lot of things happened but we still pulled away with the win. Tomorrow we play in the champion ship game and we are ready to win.

Erika Quotation

This quote inspires me because it shows how you use determination to stay alive and fight for your life and work till the day you die and make the world a better place and If you die you still did your best and died for a good cause or good reason to try and save the world and use your love to others and yourself to stay alive and help the world. I saw this in a movie one time where a boys dad was about to die and the dad told his son to do his best to stay alive and if he does die its for a good cause and to use love to help you stay alive and make others stay alive.

Leap Day

Leap day happens every 4 years. I honestly don't care about leap year because I don't know anything about it besides it happens every 4 years. 4 years ago I was in 4 grade and I was in Hynes school. I think I played football for the Junior Wolves for the Niles west feeder team. I was running back and Linebacker and I was pretty good. I around 5 touchdowns that season. It was fun to hit and tackle people. Its hard to believe that in 4 years I will be graduating from Niles North High School. I hope I will find good jobs and colleges.

      One day my friend and I were really bored and we waned to go get something to eat. But I realized, we didn't have a car. I told my friends and we all panicked. "Maybe we can get a horse!!" screamed my friends shaline. " Are you dumb?? How are we gonna get a horse when we are in the city?" remarked Bobby. So i ignored there arguing and called up an uber. He pulled up into my drive way and we hopped in the Toyota car. The uber was a real jerk. When he saw we were only 14 he looked humiliated. While I was looking out the window I saw a horse and I saw a man behind it on a big wagon and was letting the horse take it wherever. Without thinking I opened the door, jumped out the car and landed on the horse. It was the craziest thing ever. I didn't even mean to do that. It just happened. I was in shock. The guy on the horse looked shocked as well. Next thing I knew he fainted and the wagon attached to the horse was all to my self, so I just thought I would go to Mcdonalds and get my food. I just realized I left my friends in the Uber but I didn't really care because they were mean to me anyway. On the way to McDonalds I saw 2 little kids sitting in the parking lot of the fast food restaurant and decided to ask them for a ride. They were scared at first but then hopped on the back of the wagon and we went though the drive thru. When the people saw me sitting on the wagon and a horse in front of me they looked surprised but then they treated me like I was in a car. So I ordered my nuggets and left.

Gamete child

My son Tyrone is a special person. His parents are Teresa, Sharokene, and me. He has  a pig nose so he gets bullied a lot at school but luckily he has friends to stick up for him. Also people make fun of his big belly and long arms. Everybody says if he wasn't so fat he would be a good basketball player. One of the biggest reasons he gets bullied is he has 2 toes. A lot of people can't tell but if people were to see his feet they would not stop making fun of him. When he gets bullied he tells the teacher or tells us first which is good so we can stop the bullying. 

Food Post

My friends and I over the summer, always go to Buffalo Wild Wings. We usually bike there 2 times a week and after that, we would go to Niles North to play soccer. At Bdubs I get boneless Asian Zing and Mango Habenero. I love spicy food and Mango habenero is the best spicy tasting sauce in my opinion. I like Asian Zing because the taste is sweet then it gets spicy. I sometimes get traditional wings and when I do, I get either Mild or Wild. The Mild is not as mild as you think it would be, it actually does have a kick. The Wild is super hot and tastes really good on bone but not traditional. As you can tell, Bdubs is my favorite restaurant.

New Years post

My new years resolution is to become a better person and to save my team. I want to become a better person because last year I think I could of been nicer to some people and just be more nice in general to help me get a job later in life or other stuff. I want to save my money because when I get money I tend to spend it fast and on use less stuff so my new years resolution is to be nicer and save my money.

My first Basket Ball game

On Wednesday, January 20 I played my first basketball game for Golf Middle school. We played Park view. I was really nervous and was really scared when they arrived because our team was so short and there team was tall. I knew this would be a tough game. When I came in my heart was racing. When I got a rebound I gave it to my teammates as fast as I could. When we were on offensive I got the ball and went fr a layup but go fouled. My worst nightmare has just happened. I WAS SHOOTING FREE THROWS!!! I was literally freaking out. In practice I usually make mine but this time I thought I would air ball them or miss them because everybody was staring at me. As the ball was tossed to me i caught it, looked at the hoop, took a deep breath, got in form and took the shot. The release felt perfect and I knew it was going in. I watched the shot and the ball went perfectly in the hoop and it was first point of the season. I couldn't believe it, my first shot was a swish! Then for the second shot I wasn't  as scared but still was nervous. I did the same thing as I did in the first shot but this time I put a little to much power but it still went in but not as pretty. But we ended up going to overtime with them and we were all excited because they were probably the best team and we took them to OT, but lost by 4 points. Even though we lost I still had fun and think as the season continues, we will be one of the best teams.

Movie review (CREED)

Creed is the best movie I have ever seen. In fact,  I saw it 3 times in theaters. Every time I saw it I had the same emotions and got hyped every time. It was a action/sports movie bu to me it was a sports/Drama movie. There were a lot of sad parts and there was a lot of hype and action parts. Creed is about Apollo Creed's son who quits his job to become a boxer and goes to Philadelphia to go talk with Rocky Balboa and hopefully get trained by him. When they first meet, Rocky doesn't know who Creed was but then Creed tells him and he decides he will only give him tips  on how to become a boxer. Eventually Rocky trains him and some sad parts happen and good parts, but I don't want to spoil the movie. I really do like this movie and I think everybody who knows or has watched the Rocky movies this would be a perfect movie for you. I give this movie a 10/10.
